Important Dates for Applicants
Withdrawals and Tuition Refund Policy
Students who wish to withdraw entirely from any iStar Class program must notify an iStar representative in writing prior to the course start date. The refund policy for the 2020 iStar Class programs is as follows:
iStar University Summer Program and Research Program
60 days prior to the course start date: refund of 100% of the tuition and program fee, less the $500 deposit which is forfeited.
30 days prior to the course start date: refund of 50% of the tuition and program fees, less the $500 deposit which is forfeited.
14 days or less prior to the course start date: No refund will be given.
iStar Online College Credit Courses
The first class for all iStar Online College Credit courses is free for students. After the first class, students will be required to officially register for the course, submit a signed copy of the student agreement, and pay all associated tuition and program fees as follows:
Semester Course: 1 week prior to the course start date
Summer Course: 1 week prior to the course start date
Students have until the 3rd class to withdraw from the course. Prior to this, students may also elect to switch to a new course or wait to take the course at another time. If students withdraw after the third course, no refund will be given and students must wait to retake the course. If the required payment and contract are not submitted within the allocated time frame, students will be automatically dropped from the course.
Failure to attend classes or failure to notify an iStar representative in writing of withdrawal does not constitute dropping a course and will result in full-tuition being charged.
iStar reserves the right to cancel any class if the minimum enrollment is not met or for any reason beyond iStar's control. In the event a class is canceled, for this reason, students will be given the option to register for a different course or receive a full tuition refund.
If a student is dismissed from the program for failure to comply with the stated and published policy, the parent/guardian is responsible for all expenses, including but not limited to airfare and change fees, hotels, and meals. In the case of dismissal, no refunds will be issued.
